Finally some Chaos Space Marines!

It has been a good while since I last posted but I'm finally back!

As you may have already guessed from the title this posted is going to be about CSM. I have built a sufficient 1000 points of them and Miraculously I have painted more than three models, in fact I have almost painted 15!!! I'm happy how they have turned out considering how fast I painted them.

First the Chaos Lord
The Lord has been built out of a Standard Chaos Lord box but with a head swap. He is armed with a chain fist and a comby melta. I run him as a Choas Lord with the mark of Tzeentch and Zigil of Corruption giving him a 2+.3++ save. I'm also planning to give him the scrolls therefore he is Psyker.

Second the CSM
9 regular CSM and the chosen from DV with a Power fist. Usually I run these guys with CCWs and Bolter (Therefore will have 2 attacks normally) the mark of tzeentch and an Icon of flame along with 2 flamers (surprise surprise...). All of these are almost done i just need to high light them.

Finally the cultist
The squads are no where near completion but I painted 2 from each, nothing fancy just the cultists from DV with some marks of either Khorne or Nurgle.

Thats just a quick update on some of holiday hobby and more updates to follow.

Bye!

Hello fellow hobbyists, now that Easter is upon us I will have lots of time to sit and read about Daemons in my limited edition tzeench codex (I am really pleased with it), as I have 2 weeks of reading I am going to post ideas and tactics about Daemons as often as I can. So for now I will leave you with a question, did you get your limited edition codex yet?

The Army Painter Plastic glue review

Yesterday I went to go and buy some new plastic glue and decided to try something different so I tried Army painter plastic glue. It is about half a size bigger than the GW plastic glue and is a slight bit cheaper. It has less packing but the lid is made of a thin plastic and a small crack has started to form in the side. As for the glue it is roughly the same form what I have tried. All in all I would recommend this product, because it just seems slightly better in that more for your money and the glue seems to work fine, I even glued together broken models(As it is generally quite hard to glue things back together with the same glue).

Random photo manipulation?

Over Christmas I was sepreated from my 40K for a couple days so I have been messing around with photo manipulation on some 40k Pictures and came up with these two:

I tried to achieve a world war era sort of look or an ancient photograph or something along those lines.

Imperial Guard Tactica: Infantry Lists

 Hello Everyone!

I played a doubles game yesterday and I fielded Guard. To try something different i played an infantry list of 40 guards men, I put them in a huge squad. MISTAKE! I really wish i hadn't, we still won the game and i only lost about twelve of them but i could have been more effective if they were in squads of twenty or less because they could have taken more targets and moving 40 guards men is hard a because of the squad size not everyone could shoot.
Blue guard are mine I borrowed the Green ones from my local GW
Deployment in My first 875 point Infantry game

So my advice on playing guard Infantry is to keep squad sizes down. No More than thirty. I have played two games against dark angels and both have been very successful both times i fielded 80 guards men and both time i played against terminators and bikes and all has gone well. (took less than 20 casualties in each game.

Another nice thing to add to squads is a heavy weapon. I personally like heavy bolters or auto cannons because of the amount oh shoots at high strength and medium AP, this can be used as a mower against nids and orks or simply a strong weapon. to really round of this mix is to pop them in a chimera with multi laser and heavy bolter

Zone Mortalis Special Kill Team

Recently I have played a lot of Kill Team. This is not on purpose but more because at my local GW (which is supa awesome http://www.facebook.com/GWOslo) there has been a lot of kill team challenges and recently I went down to paint but ended up playing Zone Mortalis Kill team. A special scenario was also played of were there was a chaos nexus and 5 chaos space marines, 20 or so guards men and two sentry guns on the board. The objective was to destroy the nexus with melta bombs(every model has an unlimited amount) and have as little points as possible. For every turn it takes to destroy the nexus and every csm and sentry gun left alive gives you a point. Lets get onto the Battle Report...

My forces consisted of 3 grey knight paladins with a master crafted warding staff and 2 mc halberds

While I faced..
Tons of guardsmen and Chaos Space Marines!

For the first few turns it looked good for me but suddenly I lost two paladins and only had one left and then I had the most heroic stance ever as my last paladin made a faithful dash to the objective I was challenged by a chaos marine but he was squished and then I managed to fling a melta bomb and teleport out in the nick of time with a mighty 11 points.

Victory for the Emperor!

Best Kill Team List For 6th Edition

This weekend I played my most memorable Kill Team ever. It was a special scenario of which three kill teams were put together against 3 others and it led to a campaign. I played 3 paladins with mc halberds and psybolts, along with the rest of my team of 5 pre-heresy Dark Angel veterans and an ironclad dreadnought. On the other side of the board we faced 10 plague marines, 20 or so imperial guard and 50 grechin. No it didn't look good for us.

For many turns my grey knights stood and held the line against a hoard of grechin, firing holocaust pie plates and slicing grechins with halberds, while the ironclad smashed through hoards of xenos filth and the dark angels gloriously hid behind walls and killed 3 grechins and 2 guards men.

After the grechins bulked and fled, the guard followed leaving chaos marines only. The paladins made short work of 3 of them, leaving one only to spare. Assuming the Dark Angels could finish him off allowing the paladins to remove the last guardsman, the Dark Angels lined up to execute the last traitor marine, and missed every single shot but one and failed to wound it. However in the following turn the sarge managed to redeem his squad by bring the heretic down.

Victory to the Emperor! and not a single casualty.
But after the Game I thought that wouldn't it be great if i finished painting my grey knights especially this amazing kill teams list.
